PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROCESS for:
Upper Saginaw, Lower Tittabawassee, and Lower Cass Watersheds
Within the SASWA Defined Watershed

It is the intent of the members of the Saginaw Area Storm Water Authority (SASWA) to develop a public participation plan (PPP) to promote and facilitate the public's understanding and encourage their involvement in the watershed management planning process. The SASWA will approach this process of public endorsement during the planning process by:

1.	Providing an opportunity for public input.
2.	Incorporating the public's ideas and comments.
3.	Gaining commitment from the public in the watershed planning process.

Therefore, the member communities, agencies, and educational institutions within the defined SASWA watershed region have developed the following plan to involve the watershed's residents and other interested individuals or groups in a meaningful and effective way during the planning process.

Local newspapers, PSA's (public service announcements), SASWA website (www2.spicergroup.info/saswa), and other communication methods will be used to announce meeting dates, times and locations.
